BRW Most Innovative Companies List Breakfast Event

May 16, 2014, Merewether Surf House

Forget the eureka moment, or the flash of inspiration. True innovation is sustainable innovation – and sustainable innovation is commercial innovation. (James Thomson, Editor BRW)

SiDCOR Chartered Accountants and Ideation At Work in partnership with Inventium and Thurnham Teece present the winners of the BRW Most Innovative Companies List at Merewether Surfhouse on Friday May 16. Befittingly, SiDCOR Chartered Accountants have been in the ‘BRW Top 20 Best Places to Work For’ and 'BRW Top 100 Accounting Firms' lists. It is also their innovative approach to workplace culture that make SiDCOR a perfect host for this event, held in conjunction with the Hunter Innovation Forum.

Business Review Weekly is a leading business magazine and examines trends and opportunities that shape Australian business. In news, analysis and opinion the focus is on the innovators, entrepreneurs and strategies that drive growth and profit in large and small Australian businesses. Now more than ever businesses need to be innovating. Often all that is needed is a little inspiration to spark incremental or even disruptive innovation

At this event, executives from Planet Innovation, Commonwealth Bank and Um Australia will share their innovation success stories. Judy Anderson from Inventium, will enlighten attendees on the critical factors that organisations need to be practicing to ramp up innovation performance. Innovation is more crucial than ever in 2014.

These diverse companies embed innovation into their company cultures, resulting in improving the lives of their clients and their employees while simultaneously improving their bottom line.

Helping people and organisations to generate, prototype and scale their ideas is a focus of Judy’s at Inventium. Before joining Inventium, Judy was a Senior Innovation Consultant at Deloitte where she worked with employees at all levels through the ideation, synthesis and development phases of innovation. She has managed program initiatives aimed at improving the ways in which people work, as well as improving business processes, technologies, and products and services. Judy excels at connecting people and projects, breaking down silos and fostering collaboration. She is experienced in facilitation, having run workshops for clients across Australia and overseas.

In her time outside of Inventium, Judy immerses herself in the social entrepreneurship and start up scene and is a board member for the Awesome Foundation. Known (unashamedly) for her dad jokes, you can often find her crooning away behind the keys of her piano.
