Geo-artistry at the Gaol

An exhibition and auction of geologically themed art.

Fundraising for Maitland Geologist, Marianne Harvey, to participate in the Homeward Bound Project - the world’s first state‐of‐the‐art leadership and strategic programme for women in science.  In December, Marianne will spend 20 days at sea in Antarctica with 77 other female scientists from around the world all sharing one focus - the world as our home.

Original paintings by Julie Lau, photography by Roslyn Budd, canvas prints by Wyan McAllister, needle works by Lynne Banwell, Katie Corbin and Beth Lucas.

Featuring a fine selection of mineral specimens, rocks and fossils. Geological pick-a-prize raffle table.

Come along and feast from the grazing table of Blackbird Artisan Bakery breads and Hunter Belle cheeses and enjoy some local hunter wines.
