The BIGGEST B2B Marketplace is coming to Brisbane
After running six successful Expos on the Gold Coast and Logan the 2018 Brisbane Small Business Expo is bringing local small business together on Friday 11th May to showcase their products and services.
It is particularly suited for home-based, micro, mobile, franchise, services based biz to the small business community and online businesses without shopfronts that are usually invisible in our communities but make up one third of our small business numbers. Frankly the invisible businesses.
This is a genuine B2B marketplace platform that has never been held in Brisbane before but squarely kicks skills transfer and financial goals for every business owner involved.
“The Expo is built around conversations and learning rather than how swanky the trade booths are; it is grass roots selling by local businesses in the community where they live and work.”
“The Brisbane Expo has over 225 small businesses with Trade Tables from across Brisbane, Gold Coast and Logan. So even if you spent 5 minutes at each - you would be kicking goals with new connections.
There will be food trucks, live music, and three speaker presentations from some of the Australia’s leading business experts including Phillip Di Bella from Di Bella Coffee and Karl Schwantes from Xennox Diamonds.
Small businesses attending the workshops will learn the latest business tips and industry insight to really bolster their business. The Small Business Expo is free to attend - thanks to our 20 sponsors. and stakeholders.
We will also have an Information Hub and a Technology Hub where you can grab the latest information from all levels of Government and check out the latest technology from our local companies.
Every attendee gets a chance to WIN A HOLIDAY thanks to our Principal Partner BARTERCARD.
Expos are typically boring, disengaged events but we make ours fun – this event is a real celebration that recognises the hard work that small business owners do every single day.
Prior to the expo we also deliver ‘How To Sell From a Trade Table Workshops’ to teach trade table holders on how to successfully engage, collect solid leads and convert to sales and make money to feed their families. The workshops have been run before every expo that has ever been held for the trade table holders as part of their booking fee.

We have 230 Exhibitors in the Trading Hall
PLUS 900 Small Business Owners registered to attend as well
Here are a few things to help you to plan your Expo visit. After all you want to be in the best attitude to do business in this unique B2B marketplace.
When to Arrive
Please do not ALL try to turn up at 10am when the Expo opens. Consider arriving throughout the day, keeping in mind the average time spent at the Expo is 3 hours - even to get around the 230 businesses showcasing and having a chat will take you a few hours to complete.
Parking For The Expo
There are only 200 car parks at the venue - so chances are 700 cars wont fit in - please consider taking the bus - there is a bus stop right outside the venue and bus 120 comes direct from the Garden City Shopping Centre which is only a 15 minute trip from the venue. Parking for three hours at the Shopping Centre is FREE.
Please consider taking an UBER - perhaps park at Garden City Shopping Centre - FREE for the first 3 hours and catch an UBER from there - it is only 5 minutes around the corner.
Park in the side streets and walk to the venue
We ask you to also co-share a car to reduce the number of cars onsite.
If you are lucky to get a park in the designated parking area - we will ask you for a gold coin donation - all monies raised go to Mt Gravatt Rotary for their community projects.
Doing business in the marketplace
We have 230 businesses showcasing their products and services - take the time to say hello to them all - they are there to do business with you. Remember your business cards and credit card as you can purchase many products and services on the day. There will be some fabulous competitions to enter as well - everyone loves winning prizes - most of the prizes are drawn at the end of the day.
Dress
Do NOT wear stilleto shoes - leave your heeled shoes at home - this venue is not a purpose built exhibition centre it is 4 basketball courts and the organisers dont wish to resurface the entire floor because of stilleto marks - just wear comfortable shoes for this one event - we know you can do it.
Food Trucks and Live Music
There is coffee and drinks on site at the cafe inside and we also food trucks and live music from 11am to 2pm out the back - you can access this area by the double doors that will be signed FOOD TRUCKS & LIVE MUSIC.
