Hudson Arc - CD Launch

One beautifully intimate venue - no ordinary band!

Lush string arrangements, colourful songs, intense dynamics, vocal and rhythmic loops...

HUDSON ARC singer-songwriter Gareth Hudson (formerly of The Good) has been writing songs and playing piano his whole life. He has written two major stage musicals (The Shining Isle & Cook: Between Worlds), composed music for short films, and has produced many bands and award-winning artists in his own recording studio Hazy Cosmic Jive. He was introduced to the dynamic string trio Ensemble Arc, Tadijana Ilicic (violin), Jamie Pollock (viola) and Rachel Pogson (cello) and instantly asked the girls to join and create something unique. The band started jamming on Fridays, improvising over some new tunes, and eating lots of cake! All classically trained and bachelor of music graduates, the band use traditional instruments the violin, viola and cello. Combined with Hudson’s vocal and instrumental looping and the occasional didge drones, their live show is a powerful and totally unique experience.

The night will feature songs from their new album "In An Ocean Of Sacrifice" and some string trio performances.  Entry fee includes a copy of the album and complimentray nibbles!  Alcohol is BYO.
