Orbital radio's very own Sound explorer segment comes to Goodspace Gallery at the Lord Gladstone!

Sound Explorer is a homegrown segment that spotlights the talents of local up and coming artists Australia-wide with a weekly radio broadcasted show. With the Sydney music scene opening back up over recent months, we are now ready to showcase these bands LIVE!

Scatter Light

Scatter Light are a power trio that blend their wave of sweeping phasers and crunchy guitar tones over a bed of infectious and unique rhythms and grooves. Their ever-evolving sound is forging their own space within the thriving Australian psychedelic renaissance, presenting mind expanding concepts for the present day. If not playing a live show, the band are tucked away inside a home studio, honing their craft and sound, covered in a strong lysergic flavour.

Memory Motel

Sydney psychedelic rock group Memory Motel have hand crafted a sound rich in hypnotic and swirling textures of guitars and synthesizers, driving rhythm and dreamy “Mazzy Star-esk” vocals, inspired by the rise of prolific psych rock and dream pop outfits of the 21st century around Australia and overseas.

The Group released their debut single, "Scarlett", back in July 2021, and now look to 2022 for a year of more live performances and exciting music to come. Having played sold out shows at The Chippo and the Agincourt Hotel, the Sydney 5-piece of Ruby, Baz, Tom, Mitch and Ben are now bringing their unique soundscape and new tracks to the Lord Gladstone for a night not to be missed.
