UNVEILED - A SYNOPSIS

This otherworldly tale revolves around Giselle, a young woman fatally betrayed by the smooth-talking Albrecht. Beyond the veil, she becomes part of a plot for vengeance, leading her to reflect on the events and relationships in her life that shaped her. Can she come back from the brink of destruction or will she drown in a sea of revenge?

Based around the traditional ballet, Unveiled deconstructs Giselle's original plot through movement to reveal a more modern tale of infidelity, deception, depression and self-reliance, led by a cast of incredibly talented young performers.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Unveiled is the culmination of six months of intense work by advanced dancers from across the ACT and surrounding regions. The creators, Bonnie Neate and Suzy Piani, started the project as a unique initiative to bring together, train, and showcase pre-professional dancers from our region - an opportunity usually not available to Canberra dancers without interstate travel. Focus areas in particular are contemporary dance floor work, technique and pas de deux. From the program dancers have gained industry-specific performance experience at a pre-professional level.
